GRAFTON, N.H.— Marianne B. Bingham, 55, died Thursday, March 29, 2007 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Mass. She was born August 16, 1951 in Berlin, Germany, the daughter of Walter and Martha F. (Pohl) Grutz. She was raised in Pretoria, South Africa and graduated from Pretoria High School in 1969. She came to this country in mid 1970s. She earned her associates degree from Trinity College in Burlington. She worked as a teacher’s aide in Williston, and in Lebanon, N.H. More recently she had worked at the Canaan Cash Mart in Canaan, N.H. She married Steven Bingham August 10, 2003 in Grafton, N.H. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed flowers, crocheting and playing the guitar. Survivors include her husband, Steven Bingham of Grafton, N.H.; two sons: Jon Carpentier of Milton, and Benjamin Carpentier of Burlington; a daughter, Sharon Carpentier of Burlington; her stepmother, Inga Grutz of Pretoria, South Africa; and four granddaughters. She was predeceased by her parents. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 4 at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph, with Rev. Ronald E. Rilling officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Randolph at a later date. Calling hours were held Tuesday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 1425 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove, N.J. 07009.
