13^th Mud Season Variety Show:
WMUD on Your Chandler Dial

It’s that time of the year again! The folks at Chandler Center for the Arts are turning their production dial towards the 13^th Annual Mud Season Variety Show. In well-loved tradition, this show will spotlight the talents of the extended Randolph community, families and friends! Performance dates are set for Friday and Saturday, April 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m. at historic Chandler Music Hall in Randolph.

Affectionately dubbed WMUD, this year’s celebration of community spirit will follow the theme of a small town radio show and will introduce many new acts to the Chandler stage. WMUD announcers Randy Garner, Tom Harty, Janine Reeves and Charlie McMeekin will all be on hand to put their spin on things and turn over the microphones to the guest performers of the evening.

"We’ll have soul. We’ll have blues. We’ll have country, and Irish fiddle tunes," says Chandler’s Betsy Cantlin. "We won’t have break-dance, but we will have a snake dance! And clogging, Broadway, drumming, and more. Guest performers are from many area towns, as well as far-reaching Burlington, Washington, Middlebury and Wilder. Come see and hear what this cast of 50 has prepared for you! With acts ranging in age from seven to ‘sixty-ish,’ this is great entertainment for the entire family!"

The Mud Season Variety Show continues to be a volunteer production that raises important funds for future Chandler programming. Sponsors are Bethel Mills, Champ Radio, ERA Home Town Realty, Randolph Area Chamber of Commerce and Richburg Builders.

Reserved seat tickets are available now by calling 728-6464 between 3–6 p.m., or at ticket@chandler-arts.org. Tickets will also be sold at the door the night of the performances, but may be scarce, so Cantlin says you should call now for the best seats. Chandler Music Hall is wheelchair accessible.
