BRAINTREE—Marjorie E. Paddock, 84, died Sunday, April 8, 2007, at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph. She was born July 23, 1922, in East Charleston, the daughter of Everett and Mildred (Taylor) Stone. She attended Bethel Gilead schools. She married William Paddock May 10, 1941, in Bethel Gilead. They lived in New York state for several years and moved to Braintree in 1975. She was a Sunday school teacher at the Independent Gospel Church in Chelsea for many years. She enjoyed sewing, playing the piano and gardening. Her memberships included the Randolph Baptist Fellowship and the Independent Gospel Church in Chelsea. Survivors include two sons, Edward Paddock of Gardner, Mass., and Samuel Paddock of Braintree; three daughters, Evelyn Francis of Berne, N.Y., Ruth Dotson of East Bend, N.C., and Shirley Spencer of Hurley, Va.; a brother, Donald Stone of Barre; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Rev. William Paddock, and two brothers, Stanley and James Stone. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 11, at the Randolph Baptist Fellowship on Route 66. Burial took place at the Old Bennington Cemetery. Calling hours were held Tuesday evening, April 10, at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Day Funeral Home of Randolph. ____________ |
