Annie M. Nutting

SHARON--Annie M. Nutting, 77, died Saturday, April 21, 2007, at the Genesis Healthcare in Lebanon, N.H.

She was born September 18, 1929 in Randolph, the daughter of John and Hattie (Durkee) Ferris. She attended school in Randolph and later went to school in Sharon.

On June 11, 1944, she married Everett "Tink" Nutting, Jr. They lived all their married life on their farm in Strafford. They later divorced in 1971. For the last 25 years she has been with her companion, Lionel Lozeau of Sharon.

She was a hard worker, who took care of houses for doctors, lawyers and state representatives in the Norwich, Vt. and Hanover, N.H. areas. She retired in 2006, due to ill health. She loved telling jokes, listening to and watching birds, dancing, listening to country music, gambling and attending events at the Elks and American Legion in White River Junction.

She and Lionel loved to travel. They went to Atlantic City and Foxwoods to gamble, Nashville, Dollywood, Tennessee, and Florida, and attended many Alan Jackson concerts.

She enjoyed parties, beautiful bouquets of flowers and spending time with friends, but her great love was spending time with her grandchildren and going on shopping trips with her granddaughter.

Survivors include her companion, Lionel Lozeau of Sharon; a son, Robert D. Nutting and his wife Rae of Strafford; a grandson, Dillon Nutting of Sharon; and a granddaughter, Lacey D. Francesco of Salem, Mass.; three brothers, John "Bud" Ferris Jr. of South Royalton, Mason Ferris and Alfred "Jack" Ferris, both of Sharon; and several nieces and nephews.

There are no public calling hours. A memorial funeral service will be held Saturday, April 28, at 2 p.m. at the Sharon Congregational Church in Sharon. Flowers are encouraged but memorial contributions may be made to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, 1 Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, N.H., 03765.

Arrangements are by the Boardway & Cilley Funeral Home on Main Street in Chelsea.
