Janet Osha Miller Wins Blue Ribbons For Her Photography

Janet Osha Miller, a portrait photographer from Braintree, attended the 77^th Annual Convention of the Vermont Professional Photographers April 28–May 1 at the Lake Morey Resort in Fairlee.

Miller entered six images and one folio into the print competition. Over 100 images were entered in this competition and every print was judged individually by a panel of judges and points awarded.

Miller, who brought home three blue ribbons and five red ribbons for her images, also won a Court of Honor award for her image titled, "Porch Chairs." The Court of Honor is awarded to three prints chosen by the judges for high achievement. "Porch Chairs" also won the Members’ Choice award and Miller’s folio entry received a blue ribbon and also won a Judges’ Choice award from Massachusetts judge, Nancy Holowitz, Master Photographer and Craftsman.

Four of Miller’s images will now go on to the Professional Photographers of New England competition in September. She has been a member of the Vermont Professional Photographers since 1990 and has served on the Board of Directors since 2000.
