Hornets’ 3^rd Track Meet

The Whitcomb Track meet last Wednesday went great. The boys’ team placed sixth out of seven teams and the girls placed sixth out of eight teams.

The boys’ relay placed fifth, and the girls’ placed third. Peter Burgos pulled in sixth in the 1600 and fourth in the 3000. Joe Kill was right behind him with an eighth in the 1500 and in the 3000.

Nathan Tipton placed fourth in the long jump. Meredith Kill placed second in the 100-meter dash and fourth in the 400-meter dash. Mikayla Dieffenbach placed eighth in the 100-meter dash and 100-meter hurdles, and fifth in the long jump. June Claughton placed second in the 800-meter run, and sixth in the long jump.

This meet went much better due to the fact that the team had more time to prepare for the meet and were familiar with the track.
