Improvement

In Rochester

The Rochester Planning Commission has worked hard over the last 6 months to revise the town plan. The new town plan has added language in the mineral extraction section, stating that this kind of activity "must not result in a nuisance to neighboring property owners through noise or dust, nor be a burden on public services".

This is an excellent step forward in helping prevent large mining operations from establishing in residential neighborhoods. I urge the select board to approve the changes, and thank you Rochester Planning Commission!
