Sharon Congregational Church

Welcomes Rev. Robin Lunn

By Martha Slater

Rev. Robin Lunn became interim pastor of the Sharon Congregational Church April 15.

Rev. Lunn, who graduated from the Andover-Newton Theological School in Newton, Mass. in 2006, formerly served the Jamaica Community Church in Jamaica for five years. Prior to that, she worked in camping and youth ministry in Connecticut.

Raised in Camden, Maine, Rev. Lunn did her undergraduate at Johnson State College, through the adult education program. She is the mother of two college-age children, a son, Zebediah Tracy, who is a senior at Worcester Polytechnic in Worcester, Mass. and a daughter, Amelia Tracy, a junior at the University of Redlands in southern California. Rev. Lunn's family also includes her partner, Shayna Appel, who is the associate minister at Christ Church at Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H.

"I come with a lot of education and experience in looking at the emerging church and the church in the 21st century." Rev. Lunn said. "I'm interested in where traditional mainline churches fit into that and how we can find our identities and ministries and missions in the future. I'm particularly interested in how worship impacts that intersection. My hope is that we'll explore these things and have a lot of fun in the process of doing that."
