RUHS Gal Ghosts Softball

     The Randolph softball team jumped out to an early lead against Vergennes last week and won handily, 16-1.

Randolph Baseball 2-1

     The Randolph boys’ baseball team ends the week with a 5-4 record with wins at Oxbow and U-32, and a loss at home against Norhtfield. Randolph has an away game at Lamoille Thursday and a doubleheader at home Saturday against rival Montpelier.

     Randolph defeated U-32, the 2006 state champions, for the first time in several years on Friday evening. Randolph knew the game wouldn’t be easy, but came out and scored the first three goals of the game—one by Brook Sargeant, another by Brynn Fabian and the third by Sarah Kresock.

Hornets Baseball Drop Two Games

     The Hornets boys’ team hosted the D-III South Royalton Royals Tuesday and lost to their guests 12-zip. The Hornets started strong, retiring their opponents 1-2-3 and 4-5-6 while the Royals matched suit before anybody scored.

Chelsea Lax Girls Win 2

     Last year Montpelier defeated and knocked the Chelsea girls lacrosse squad out of the semi-finals in girls’ tournament action, but last Friday the Devils rallied past the Solons and came away with a 10-4 win.

Randolph Golf Team Update

     The Randolph boys’ golf team is in full swing. The team practiced hard in early April at the Three Stallion Driving Range in Randolph Center as area courses were not able to open until late April.
