Randolph Baseball 2-1

The Randolph boys’ baseball team ends the week with a 5-4 record with wins at Oxbow and U-32, and a loss at home against Norhtfield. Randolph has an away game at Lamoille Thursday and a doubleheader at home Saturday against rival Montpelier.

Northfield Loss

Randolph played Northfield Tuesday at home and lost 13-6. Cody Montgomery pitched five innings, and David Maxfield came in to pitch the final two.

Thomas Jacobs drove a solo homer in the seventh past the left field foul pole, and had another hit in the game. Montgomery and Justin Messier also had two hits in the contest.

U-32 Win

Randolph played the Raiders of U-32 away Saturday and defeated them handily, 10-3. Jon White went the distance for the Ghosts, only giving up a couple of extra base hits and a couple of singles. White scored two runs, and Jacobs had a double as well.

Oxbow Win

The Randolph boys faced Oxbow away last Thursday and defeated them 8-4. Randolph stepped ahead early, scoring five runs in the first inning.

Mike Czok took the win for the Ghosts, scattering five hits and striking out three for the complete game.
