Police Expansion

A Bad Idea

Is the idea of expanding the police district so we keep up with the Joneses [Northfield pay] a good idea?

Methinks not. Where does it end? If an officer leaves Randolph for better pay in South Burlington does that mean we raise taxes so he stays here also?

We are covered by the taxpayer-paid sheriff‘s office and the tax-paid Vermont State Police .We need to look at ways to give tax relief, not to figure out ways to increase the burden every year.
