WRVP Performing Arts Camp: ‘Adventures Around the World’

The White River Valley Players’ annual Performing Arts Camp for Kids has announced the theme for this summer’s program, "We’re Going Places: Adventures around the World!"

Children entering grades 2-8 are invited to attend this week-long day camp held August 6-10 at the Hancock Village School on Route 100 in Hancock. Classes will be held outside as will the final public performance Friday, August 10 at 6 p.m.

There will be music, dances, and tales from around the world. Acting and improv classes will help campers weave together their own tales of wonder, and there will be a number of special guests throughout the week.

Claire Walker Leslie will take campers on a nature journaling walk, Travis Shores will teach drumming, and Christine Meagher will share some of the exciting things she learned during her past year as a Rotary exchange student in Thailand.

Registration materials have already gone out and the deadline for registering is Friday, June 15. Those registering after June 15 will be admitted on a first-come, first-serve basis until all available spaces are filled. The registration deadline is a little earlier this year to accommodate ordering camp T-shirts.

For more information or to get a registration form, call Jeanie Levitan Crickard at 767-3956.
