Requiem For The Fish Truck The fish truck is no longer, and all of us faithful customers will mourn for many Fridays to come. It was a wonderful tradition, one of those delights we in "quaint rural Vermont" could take such a pleasure in recounting to friends elsewhere in the flatlands. Where else but here? Our own traveling fish truck parked downtown every Friday, rain or shine, sleet or snow, even with special orders on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. And if you missed it, off you went to Floyd's in Randolph Center where you could still catch it until the end of the day. The cheerful service over the years was also what drew us there week after week-what wonderful people. Alas, the economy takes another victim. We were delightfully spoiled for over a decade and thank Mr. C's for their loyalty to Randolph for such a long, tasty time. Adieu. Janet Watton Randolph Center |
