RANDOLPH—Helene H. Maxwell, 86, formerly of Braintree, died Friday, June 15, 2007 at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph. She was born December 19, 1920 in Exeter, N.H., the daughter of Clayton and Elnora (Hatch) Luce. She attended the Rochester Hollow graded school and graduated from Rochester High School. She continued her education at Goddard College. She married Oliver Maxwell February 15, 1947 in Granville. The Maxwells moved to Braintree in 1954. In earlier years, she had worked at the Hancock Veneer Mill in Hancock and later at Waterbury Co.’s in Randolph. She was a former member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Moss Glen Grange. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, knitting and reading. Survivors include an uncle, cousins, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Friday, June 22 at 11 a.m. at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Rochester, with Rev. Greg Homan officiating. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, Mass. 01701. Arrangements are under the direction of the Day Funeral Home in Randolph. ____________ |
