Library’s Annual Book Sale
This Year Comes on July 4

Two big events will be wrapping up at Kimball Library this Independence Day: the annual book sale and the end of the silent auction. The Library raises about 30% of its operating budget annually, through these and other fundraising efforts. The remaining 70% is supplied by a portion of Randolph property taxes.

"The partnership between Randolph’s selectboard and the Library trustees is excellent," said Library director Amy Grasmick. "The selectboard understands that the residents of Randolph deserve excellent library service. Kimball Library strives to fulfill that expectation."

The book sale takes place on July 4 in Linnie Laws’ driveway to the north of the Library, and runs from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The sale netted more than $3000 last year, and features thousands of books for all interests and ages. The books, DVDs, CDs, and tapes for sale have primarily been donated by community members. People may still drop off donations at the Library during open hours through June 30.

The book sale is also the last opportunity for bidding at the Library’s silent auction. Area businesses and individuals have contributed dozens of items and services, including passes for the Stagecoach, fine silver and gold jewelry, gift certificates to a number of restaurants and businesses, subscriptions to the Herald and to Chandler’s chamber music series, electronic equipment, fine art by Sandy Cooch, Robert Eddy, Rachi Farrow, and Bonny Willett, and much more.

Bidding continues through noon on July 4th at the Library. A complete list of auction items is available at :
