Executive Director Lynn Irish Resigns from RACC Post

"It is with deep regret that I announce the resignation of Lynn Irish, Executive Director, for the Randolph Area Chamber of Commerce," RACC President Joe Boyd told The Herald.

Irish has been with the Chamber for over six years and served as the executive director for five. She is leaving to spend more time with her family and to assist with her husband’s general contracting business, which is expanding.

"Lynn brought a great deal of energy and enthusiasm to her role and was interested in the people behind the businesses that encompass the chamber membership," Boyd said. "She was always very conscientious in all details of a project and thus, was able to accomplish much while making it look easy. Her ability to keep projects, meetings, and, at times, multiple volunteers on task repeatedly produced successful events for the chamber."

Boyd added that, "The chamber’s membership and presence grew under Lynn’s leadership and took on many new programs during her tenure. Among those that she instituted are the Perk Card, an E-News Magazine, and multiple grand opening celebrations. Perhaps her most memorable legacy will be the establishment of an RACC scholarship program for high school students continuing on to college."

Irish was also instrumental in writing many new membership policies for the chamber and was involved with the Area Business Committee and the Creative Communities Initiative, as well as being the area’s liaison for the Vermont Chamber of Commerce. Prior to her work with the RACC, she was director of the Royalton Area Youth Center.

Boyd added his thanks to Irish "for all of her hard work and dedication over the years."
