Vermont Highways

In Central Vermont in August, one of the best things to do is just drive around and look around.

This pair of cyclists found a spectacular piece of road to do just that last Thursday, on Vermont Route 12 between Randolph and Bethel.

Residents of southern New England, New York and New Jersey might note the volume of traffic on Route 12. That's typical for almost all roads in Central Vermont.

Photographer Tim Calabro caught the cyclists as they passed historic Bethel Gilead Church, one of many lovely old rural churches which are still kept up by local historical societies and are used for summer services.
