Ready for Next Year

Newton School Principal Paul Lowe reminds parents that the first day of school for children is Wednesday, Aug. 29. Classes begin at 8 a.m. The bus routes and pickup times are the same as last year.

All parents are invited to "Start the Year Right Night" at the school Tuesday, Aug. 28. Parents of students grades 6-8 will meet between 6-6:45p.m., Grades K-2 from 6:45-7:30 p.m.; and grades 3-5 from 7:30-8:15 p.m.

New teachers this year are Theresa White who will be a classroom teacher in grades 3-5 and Ilene Kanoff who will teach math in grades 6-8. Paula Doyle and Linday Ahsan will work as special education paraprofessionals.

As in past years, there will be early dismissal every Friday at 12:30 p.m. and that will start the first week of school.
