Benefit To Assist
Riding Arena

My father, Walt Bryan, passed away in September 2000 due to complications of diabetes. This unforgiving illness ravaged him, turning a strong, independent, hard-working man into a double amputee who was forced to swallow his pride and independence. He loved the outdoors and spent many hours with his animals. What this illness did not take from him physically, it took mentally.

In July 2001 we held a very successful fundraiser with all proceeds going to the American Diabetes Association. We were able to raise over $8000 for this worthy cause. This year we are hoping to be able to surpass that amount.

We will be dedicating the Walt Bryan Memorial Arena, a horse riding arena built by my sister, in his memory. There will be live entertainment Friday night, Aug. 31. On Saturday there will be horse and pony pulls, pancake breakfast, horse demonstrations, wagon rides, bucket raffles, 50/50 raffle, pig roast and Saturday night live entertainment. All events will take place at the Brykiss Farm, formerly the Walt Bryan Farm in Gaysville.

I beg your support in making this event a success in the hopes that in the future others may not have to suffer the cruelty of this disease.

All donations are tax deductible and should be made payable to the Walt Bryan Memorial Diabetes Fund.
