A friend sold his house and we had to empty the house in order to allow the new owner to take over. While in this process we found a lot of liquids and paint type products that are classified as hazardous. In order not to keep them around and wait for hazardous waste day here in Randolph I took a pick-up load of these products to Rutland. Here are some per gallon unit prices, Ceramic adhesive $11.40, oil paint $4.90, watch cleaning solution $5.00, Liquid photo chemical $11.40. Solid photo chemical was 3.70 per pound. These were the rates for non-commercial waste By the time everything had been totaled it cost $158.60. Some of the adhesive was over 25 years old and cost less than $5 when purchased. Here are three comments: do not over-estimate how much you need for a job; do not hold onto the extra gallon(s) of that which is considered hazardous as the cost to throw it away may exceed what you paid for it; and take advantage and throw away your "stuff" when Randolph has its "free hazardous waste" day..
