The game ended in a 1-1 double overtime tie between the Chelsea Red Devils soccer team and the Twinfield Trojans last week. Twinfield struck first, early in the second half of the game, with a goal by Ian Young. Despite playing with just 10 players, Chelsea came right back. The shortened team got a goal from Andrew Richardson off a serve from Joseph Bonasera. Both teams had opportunities throughout the game to put it away, however the defense and goal-keeping prevented anything from happening. In the first overtime, the one shot that Chelsea had on goal was a corner from Bonasera, in which the ball was left floating around inside the six area. Unfortunately Trojan keeper Royal Healy collected it up. In the second overtime Twinfield had the breakaway, but shot the ball wide. Chelsea's record stands at 3-3-1 and Twinfield's record remains at 3-2-1. ____________ |
