The Sharon Academy continues to impress with shutout victories over the Whitcomb Hornets and the Twinfield Trojans for four wins in a row and a 9-2 record. The Hornets were on a three game winning streak when TSA hosted the Hornets Tuesday, Oct. 2. The Phoenix hammered their guests as they amassed six unanswered tallies. Hannes Fischer-Byrne and Sam Polas each scored twice in the contest and Michael Young-Ward collected his ninth goal of the season in the first half. Danny Moore scored the only goal of the second half. Both Fischer-Byrne and Moore earned assists in the outing, while Brad Farrell and Mike Landry worked the nets. 2-Zip Win TSA traveled to Plainfield and faced the Trojans last Friday and left the field victorious, 2-zip. Polas continues to collect tallies, scoring the only first-half goal off a Moore feed. Moore capped the scoring with an unassisted deposit in the second half. The Phoenix host the Craftsbury Chargers tomorrow on Senior Recognition Day. Their last game of the regular season is Tuesday, Oct. 16 in Cabot, where they will face the Huskies. ____________ |
