The Sharon Academy girls are on an on-the-road shutout streak as they followed their 1-0 upset win over the Whitcomb Hornets, with another 1-0 upset victory over the Twinfield Trojans in Plainfield. It was 80 minutes of "empty-net syndrome" as both the Phoenix and the Trojans were scoreless at the end of regulation. It took only two minutes into OT for TSA to hit pay dirt. As she did in the Whitcomb win, Heather Skehan beat goalie Stella Leach, and nabbed the goal and the sudden death victory over the Trojans for the victory. Ana Fischer-Byrne assisted the play. Emily Chadwick was in goal for TSA. TSA travels to Craftsbury on Friday and faces the Chargers before returning to Sharon for Senior Recognition Day on Tuesday, Oct. 16, when they will host the Cabot Huskies. ____________ |
