Chelsea Festival
Was Inspiring

Thanks to Cornelia Cesari and to the Herald for helping promote the Chelsea Harvest Festival.

An estimated 300 people showed up throughout the day to celebrate local food, enjoy a wonderful "localvorian" meal, and talk with Ariel Zevon, founder of the LACE Market in Barre, about some matters very close to home.

The spirit at this event was truly wonderful, and (like the celebrations in other towns that are now beginning to follow Chelsea's lead) demonstrates that our local food networks are becoming more viable all the time. Such events not only inspire us to action, they bring our communities closer together.

Thanks to all who showed up, and hope to see you all next year.
