The popular event involves students of all ages running a distance of one mile around the athletic fields behind the Randolph Union High School. All runners are awarded ribbons upon completion of their run with the emphasis on effort, perseverance, success, and accomplishment. Each year, the students design a new Run For Health t-shirt with their art teachers, Rebbie Carleton and Candy VandeGriek. This year's design theme was "Spooky Trees." The shirt colors were black with orange and brown ink featuring many trees created by the fifth and sixth graders in art classes. Each year the shirts are made available for purchase at cost. This year, there are extra adult size shirts for sale. To purchase one, contact Todd Keenhold, Physical Education teacher at the Randolph Elementary School. ____________ |
