Public Forum with State Reps.

Is Planned for November 14

An evening discussion with local state Reps. Patsy French and Jim Hutchinson will be held Thursday, Nov. 14 at the Maple Cake Farm of Ed Lincoln at 1252 Crocker Road in Randolph Center.

The program will begin with a potluck supper at 6 p.m. (beverage provided) followed by an open forum from 7 to 8:e0 p.m.

The evening is organized by the town Democratic Committee, but the purpose is "for all citizens, regardless of political persuasion, to interact thoughtfully with their elected representatives," said Steve Springer, one of the organizers.

He noted that this will be an opportunity for the public to meet its state legislators, ask questions, make comments, and express concerns about events locally and in Montpelier. "The timing of this event gives local representatives French and Hutchinson an idea of the concerns of local voters prior to the opening of the legislative session in January," he noted.

A facilitator will help ensure everyone’s comments are heard. The event is free of charge. Interested persons may attend both the supper and the forum, or come at 7 for the forum only, he said.

Those needing directions may call Ed Lincoln at 728-3267.
