Two Thrift Shops
Now in SoRo

I read in the paper recently that the Royalton Senior Center’s Thrift Shop has moved.  What has actually happened is that the Senior Center plans to open a totally new shop.

They left all of their merchandise at the old place. They also left their store manager, the entire staff and a lot of bad feelings, both within the store and throughout the larger community of thrift shop patrons.

But the Thrift Shop did not close.

It’s still through the restaurant where it has been. The bargains are still there for people who depend on a source of low cost, good quality, used clothing.

The staff is still the same courteous and caring people as before; donations are still welcome and are coming in daily and, the store is still OPEN, six days a week. 

So, it seems there will now be two thrift shops in town.  

It is to be seen whether the town can support them both.
