Alberta L. Goad

RANDOLPH—Alberta Lucille Goad, 79, of Randolph, died Sunday evening, October 28, 2007 at the Menig Extended Care Facility in Randolph.

She was born August 29, 1928 in St. Johnsbury, the daughter of Mitchell and Pearl (Shores) Couture. She was raised in St. Johnsbury, then lived in Littleton, N.H.

She married LeRoy O. Goad on March 1, 1950 in Whitefield, N.H. They moved to Randolph in 1958, and he died in 2001. She was a member of the Mother’s Club, and enjoyed sewing, knitting, traveling, and doing craft projects.

Survivors include her sons, Mitchell Goad of Brookfield, Alexander Goad of Randolph, and John Goad of Biddeford, Maine; two daughters, Barbara Luft, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; and Victoria Dartt of Casa Grande, Ariz.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her sister, Lillian Taylor.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 2 at 1:30 p.m. at the Day Funeral Home, with Rev. Ronald E. Rilling, officiating. Burial will follow at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center. There are no calling hours.
