In Downtown

A new tradition encouraged by the Chamber of Commerce brings hordes of children into the downtown business area on Halloween, making the rounds of stores before hitting the residential neighborhoods.

Many people commented this year on the pleasant evening scene, as traffic slowed to a crawl along Main Street to avoid—and to appreciate—the happy scene.

Store merchants added to the flavor of the day as many of them dressed in costume as well, and stood outside the store to greed the youngsters.
