ROXBURY—Clara E. Lavanway, 63, of Roxbury, died Wednesday morning, Oct. 31, 2007 at Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin. She was born November 4, 1943 in Hanover, N.H., the daughter of Ralph and Clara F. (Magivney) Bundy. She was raised in Randolph and Northfield, and graduated from Northfield High School. She moved to Roxbury in 1969, and married John Lavanway Sr. in Northfield in 1976. He died in 1980. She had worked for many years at Northfield Wood Products, and enjoyed watching television, hunting, and doing auto body work. Survivors include her son, John Lavanway, Jr., of Roxbury; step-daughters, Pam Lavanway of Barre and Brenda Lavanway of Morrisville; brothers, Marvin Bundy of Roxbury and Authur Bundy of Randolph; a sister, Earline LaFreniere of Braintree; and cousins, Rodman Seymour of Winterhaven, Fla., Mertie Seymour of Bethel, and Joyce Burrell of Bethel. Memorial services were held Tuesday morning, Nov. 6 at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph, with the Rev. Timothy Eberhardt, officiating. Phyllis Hawley was the organist. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery in Bethel. Calling hours were Monday evening at the funeral home.
