In Forest Project

On Tuesday, Nov. 13, the staff of the Green Mountain National Forest hosted a public open house at the Hancock Town Hall to discuss the development of a new project, known as the Upper White River Integrated Resource Project.

We heard excellent feedback on a range of resource issues including timber management, visual resources, wildlife management, roads, soil and water resources, and non-native plants.

We could not have been more pleased with the insightful comments we received from members of the public, as well as the level of engagement and interest the public showed for the developing project.

We encourage additional feedback on this project and hope to see an increasing level of interest as the project progresses.
