LONDON, ONTARIO—Elton E. Menard, 73, a former Randolph resident, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, after a long illness. He was born June 25, 1934, in Brookfield, the son of Clifton and Marjorie Menard. He graduated from Randolph High School in 1952. He married Marilyn Allen Nov. 30, 1956, in Randolph. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year. He worked for Van Raalte Co. in Randolph, transferring with them to Canada in 1968. He later worked for the Chrysler Corp., from which he retired. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; three daughters, Sherri Haugh and husband Dan, Nancy Gosselin and husband J.P., and Kay Zavitz and partner Rolly Thayer; a son, Stuart Menard and wife Lisa; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother, James of South Burlington; a sister Rose Locke of South Royalton; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Richard. Funeral services were held at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel on Nov. 30, 2007, with burial following. ____________ |
