An early snowstorm and continued wintry weather has created a winter wonderland for the White River Valley of central Vemont.

Cross-country and downhill ski areas are thriving, and the small army of snowplow and snowblower operators are busy.

The Herald sent photographer Zack Nelson through the area last week to see what he could find, the the result was a stunning layout of winter pictures. Here's one of them.
