Everett Towne BRIDGEWATER—Everett Towne, 91, died at his home Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, due to natural causes. He was predeceased one year ago by his partner of 40 years, Joan Pearsons. He was a proud World War II veteran and a man of many trades who loved working with his hands. He spent many of his retired years in his workshop creating a wide range of wooden treasures from cradles and rocking horses to picnic tables and whirly-gigs. He and Joan shared a love of their home, the horses they rode and the land they lived on. Survivors include a family of dear friends and his son, "Sandy," Everett Towne Jr. of Woodstock; two grandsons, "TJ", Everett Town III of Windsor, and Bobby Towne of Quechee; a granddaughter, Leanne Towne of Woodstock; and two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Nicole of Windsor. A memorial service will be held in the late spring at a time to be announced. ____________ |
