On December 20, the Lady Phoenix hosted Cabot. It was close after the first quarter but TSA held a 7-4 lead. Annie McRay and Erin Kinnarney accounted for the scoring. In the second quarter, the Phoenix exploded with twelve points in the quarter. Elyza Chadwick scored three points. Kinnarney added four more to her total, while McRay added eight. At halftime the Phoenix were leading 22-12. TSA had another great quarter in the third adding 14 points. Taylor Faccio and Abra Atwood each got on the board as did Robin. After three quarters of play the Phoenix were leading 36-23. TSA added ten more points in the fourth quarter to win the game 46-34. Elyza Chadwick finished the game with nine points, Emily Chadwick had two points. McRay added 19 and Kinnarney finished with eight. The leading scorers for Cabot were Sadie Marcotte with 19 and Caitlin Celley with seven. Win vs Websterville On December 22, the Phoenix got the privilege to play at the Barre Municipal Auditorium. TSA traveled to Barre to take on Websterville Baptist Christian School. This game wasn’t a dogfight or a close battle. After one quarter of play the Phoenix had a comfortable 13-1 advantage. Kinnarney scored six points in the quarter. The second quarter was more of the same for the Phoenix. Kinnarney added four more to her total. McRay made the only three-pointer for either team. Robin Spencer and Atwood each scored four points in the quarter. Going in to the locker room the Phoenix were pulling away with a 32-3 lead. TSA continued their momentum in the third quarter, scoring 12 points, to lead 44-5. McRay had six of those points, with Faccio four points. TSA added fourteen points to their total in the fourth quarter to win the game 58-11. Kinnarney finished with fourteen. Emily Chadwick had two, McRay had 13, Faccio had 10. The Lady Phoenix would recieve their first win ever at the Aud. Melissa Orr led Websterville with six points. ____________ |
