Anna Spada Rea STOCKBRIDGE—Anna Spada Rea, formerly of West Haven, Conn., died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008 in Woodstock. She was predeceased by her husband, Nicola Rea to, whom she was married for 71 years. A daughter of Natale and Carolina Gherzi Spada of West Haven, she is survived by her son, Frank Rea of Stockbridge, her granddaughter, Paula Rea of Vermont, and a grandson, Robert Rea of Massachusetts. She was a member of the first graduating class of the Thompson Grammar School in West Haven, Conn., and graduated from West Haven High School and Stone’s Business School. She worked for the West Haven Town Clerk’s office and retired as a secretary to a partner of Charles W. Scranton, a stock brokerage firm in New Haven, Conn. She was a resident of West Haven for 87 years. After the death of her husband, she lived at Laurel Garden in Orange, Conn., and in 2004 she moved to Vermont to be near her son. Visiting hours were held Friday morning, Jan. 25 at the West Haven Funeral Home in West Haven, Conn., followed by a mass of Christian burial at St Paula’s Church, also in West Haven. Burial was at St. Lawrence Cemetery. Local arrangements were by the Day Funeral Home of Randolph. ____________ |
