Marion Kendall WINDSOR—Marion Ruth Kendall, 90, formerly of Wilder and Randolph Center, died January 24, 2008. She was born June 1, 1917 in West Topsham, the eldest daughter of Charles and Ethel (Hood) Fortune. She attended grade school in West Topsham and graduated from Bradford Academy in 1935. She married Cecil Kendall Feb 12, 1938 in Meriden, N.H. They lived for many years in a home they built in Wilder, retiring to Randolph Center in 1988. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed reading and was an avid watcher of world and local news. She enjoyed doing cross-stitch and crocheting and spent many hours in the flower garden she loved. She was predeceased by her husband in 2005, her daughter, Janice Kendall in 2002; two sisters, Celia Morrisette and Patricia Hunt; and a brother, Robert Fortune. Survivors include a son, Rodney Kendall of Wilder; a daughter, Shirley Ryea of Enfield, N.H., four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, three sisters: Natalie Wood of Randolph, Arlene Sturdivant of Sacramento, Calif.; and Phyllis Anderson of Weare, N.H.; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held in the spring in the Hartford Cemetery. The Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. assisted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, N.H. 03756. ____________ |
