MORRISVILLE—Bessie R. Dumais, 78, formerly of Randolph, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008 at Copley Hospital in Morrisville. She was born November 8, 1929 in New London, Conn., the daughter of George W. and Audrey (Armstrong) Stevens, Sr. She attended New London, Ledyard and Norwich, Conn. schools. Following her education, she worked on farms in the Ledyard, Conn. area for several years. She later worked as a housekeeper and cook in private homes in Ledyard and Gales Ferry, Conn. She married Albert J. Dumais December 28, 1978 in Mason Island, Conn. They moved to Randolph in 1984. Mr. Dumais died in 1996. She had lived at Randolph House until moving to Morrisville last year. She was a former member of the Ledyard (Conn.) Grange. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. Graveside services will be held at the Randolph Center Cemetery at a later date. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Day Funeral Home of Randolph. ____________ |
