Evelyn Greenwood

WINCHESTER, N.H.—Evelyn M. Greenwood, 92, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008 at the Cheshire County-Maplewood Nursing Home in Westmoreland, N.H.

She was born in Randolph Center, April 25, 1915, the daughter of Frederick and Josephine (May) Howard. She grew up, attended schools, and lived in several Vermont communities, including East Randolph and East Brookfield. She lived in Keene, N.H. from 1991-98, when she moved to Winchester, N.H. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Parish in Keene.

Survivors include her son, John Howard and his wife, Jeanne, of Keene, N.H.; a granddaughter, Serena Howard of Keene, N.H.; two step-grandchildren, Cheryl Tarbox of Richmond, N.H. and David Vigneau of Claremont, N.H.; seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, C. Patrick Greenwood, who died March 5, 1968.

A graveside service will be held at the Monadnock View Cemetery in Keene at a later date and she will be buried next to her late husband in the family lot. There are no visiting hours.

The Foley Funeral Home in Keene, N.H. is in charge of arrangements.
