SOUTH STRAFFORD—Peter R. Zschack, 46, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at his home, after a long illness. He was born Feb. 16, 1962, in Clifton, N.J., the son of Robert and Marlene (Jaorsky) Zschack. He attended school in Clifton, N.J., graduating in 1980 from Clifton High School. He attended Johnson & Wales College, graduating in 1983 with an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts. In 1988, he married Elizabeth Smithies and together they had two sons, Paul and Jonathan. They were divorced in 1998. In 1998 he met his future wife, Debra Botelho. They have been together since 1998 and were married Feb. 12, 2008. They have one son, Matheus. He had worked at the Corners Inn in Barnard, Dunham Hill Bakery in Woodstock, Firestone’s Restaurant and Simon Pierce Restaurant, both in Quechee. He most recently worked at the Shaw’s Supermarket in Lebanon, N.H., until retiring due to ill health. He enjoyed cooking and especially baking. He loved to spend time with his children. Survivors include his wife of South Strafford; four sons, Paul Zschack and Jonathan Zschack, both of Windsor, and Daniel Pope and Matheus Zschack, both of South Strafford; a daughter, Katerine Botelho of South Strafford; his mother, Marlene Zschack of Clifton, N.J.; four brothers, Paul Zschack of Wheaton, Ill., Mark Zschack of Franklin, N.J., Thomas Zschack of Orange, Conn., and Mathew Zschack of Clifton, N.J.; 10 nieces and nephews; and many friends. There are no public calling hours. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 2, at 4 p.m. at the Chelsea Town Hall on Main Street in Chelsea. Memorial contributions may be made to Norris Cotton Center, One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, N.H., 03765.
