A new committee hopes to bring excitement and coordination to Main Street businesses.

"Team Downtown" hopes to promote local businesses and to partner with other organizations and groups in a variety of community-focused activities.

Members of interested organizations, as well as merchants, are encouraged to attend the next meeting this coming Tuesday, March 18, at 8 a.m. at Patrick’s Place restaurant (enter by the rear door).

Discussion will include the possibility of downtown promotions such as the formerly annual Sidewalk Sale.
