John A. Ellison

BELLOWS FALLS—John Allen Ellison, 63, died Monday, April 28, 2008 as the result of an automobile accident.

He was born March 11, 1945 in Springfield, the son of Guy H. and Josephine (Johnson) Ellison. He attended schools in Bellows Falls, then worked at the former Chester Saw Mill in Chester, and area paper mills in Bellows Falls and Putney, before retiring due to ill health.

Survivors include three sons: John Ellison Jr. of Chester, David Ellison of Brattleboro, and Randy Ellison of Bethel; a brother, Deloss Ellison of Rutland; a sister, Janice Chase of Bartonsville; four grandsons, six granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service Saturday, May 3 at 2 p.m. at the Congregational Church in Chester. The Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls is handling the arrangements.
