W. Caswell Resigns Is there a Randolph resident ready and willing to serve on the five-member elementary school board? According to Chair Anne Black Cone, the Randolph School District Board has an open seat due the resignation of Wally Caswell. Caswell was elected at Town Meeting 2007. Caswell submitted a letter of resignation last week and it was officially accepted at the RSD board’s May 12 meeting. Black said Caswell found, after serving one year, "that being on the board wasn't really his passion." He also found that he was unable to give the time needed, due other commitments, Black added. The RSD board is actively seeking individuals interested in filling the open seat. Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest by May 21, and be available to attend the next regular meeting, June 5, at 7 p.m. The seat is open until Town Meeting 2009, the end of a two-year term. Letters of interest should be submitted to Anne Black Cone, Chair, Randolph School District Board, c/o Randolph Elementary School, 40 Ayers Brook Road, Randolph, 05060. |
