     When the Herald last reported on Monroe Mayer of Royalton back in early December, Mayer, who is National Commander of the Jewish War Veterans of the United States, had recently returned from a trip to Washington, D.C. where he attended a special Veterans Day breakfast at the White House and met President Clinton and Miss America.
