Community Shovels Save School Roof
     Students at Stockbridge Central School got to go home early Monday, April 2, when it was noticed that the school building was getting stress cracks from the weight of the snow and ice. Help arrived in the form of members of the Stockbridge Volunteer Fire Department, who were joined by school faculty, parents, the town road commissioner and other community members in a "shovel-thon" that cleared the roof and saved the day!
