Lady Royals End their Season
     The Lady Royals finished their season last Friday with a quarterfinal loss (12-0) in Arlington. The Royals were seeded eighth in Division III and after defeating the number nine seeded Blue Devils of Williamstown, the Royals traveled down south to compete against the undefeated number one seed Arlington Eagles. The Royals' game was highlighted by a few outstanding plays.

Dick Tracy’s Column: Go, Ghost Girls
     Looking back at the recently completed spring sports season, one story seems to stand out above all the others: Randolph Union High School is loaded with female athletic ability and first rate coaching. In all of The Herald's readership only two teams got as far as the semi-finals and both were Lady Ghosts. The lacrosse team came oh-so-close to a repeat of their championship performance of a year ago while the softball team succumbed to eventual state D-2 champion Lyndon in the semis.

     Applications for the Randolph Youth Summer Soccer Program are available at the Randolph Recreation Dept. (from Jenny Lane) and at the Kimball Library. They can be returned to the Rec. Dept. or mailed to 6827 Vt. Route 66, Randolph Center, Vt., 05061.
