Funeral services for Betty M. Doyle of Chelsea who died Sept. 15, 2001 at the Rowan Court Facility in Barre, were held Wednesday at the United Church of Chelsea with the Rev. David Smith and Rev. Lewis Maxfield officiating. Rev. Smith greeted the large gathering of friends and relatives and then opened the service with a prayer. Special music played by brother-in-law, Wayne Doyle and nephew, John Doyle, recognized her years as a contra dancer. A letter written by a family member was read by Rev. Maxfield and then he shared a few personal thoughts about the life of this wonderful lady. John and Wayne played another song before Rev. Smith gave the benediction. More ... |
