On Accepting Life's Blows
     In response to the lady who wrote the vitriolic letter in last week's Herald concerning the medical system in the Randolph area, my question to her is: If she has been so disturbed by the treatment her husband has been receiving here, why did she not take him to another medical facility, under other medical care, instead of allowing him to be treated locally for these past nine or ten months?

No Free 'Post'In Reston
     Thank you for publishing my overly-long letter in your June 20 issue. But it contains a gross error, to wit: We get the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal, which are delivered to all Reston residences free of cost. I would have thought any reader would question that statement. I suppose those papers deliver free at some places (Congress, perhaps) but certainly not here.

New Absurdity For Superfund Liz
     The Alice in Wonderland aspects of the EPA's Superfund project at the Elizabeth Mine just keep coming. At the June 12 meeting the EPA informed the advisory group that it intended to spend a additional $2.5 million over the $2.5 million already spent in investigations at the mine site.
