Logger’s Holiday Variety Show Coming to LOH in November Logger’s Holiday Variety Show Coming to LOH in November Vermont actor Rusty DeWees as his popular alter-ego, "The Logger."
Rusty DeWees, "The Logger," will jump start the holiday season with his new Logger Holiday Variety Show, and he’s bringing some talented friends along with him. Last year, DeWees brought his one-man show to town and sold out the Lebanon Opera House. He’s back again, but this time, he’s not alone. This holiday season he’s bringing champion fiddler Don Commo, Uncle Furmon, The Dinkie Loggers, and the Darling Damzel Musicians, to heat up the theater with an old fashioned Holiday Variety Show. The shows will be presented by The Farmers Who Own Cabot and Denecker Chevrolet. The shows, as always, will be rated SC for "some cussin’." "I love doing the one-man show," DeWees says. "But I also like traveling with a troupe sometimes—the gang I’m bringing is first rate, folks will love ‘em!" The Logger’s Holiday Variety Show will tout the talents of a few local kids who’ll imitate The Logger himself. "The Dinkie Loggers" is what DeWees calls them and it’s a part of the show. There’s also a group of three "Damzal Musicians," that come with their violins and piano and end up teaching The Logger a thing or two about how to bring the house down. The girls are players in the Vermont Youth Orchestra. The Logger’s Uncle Furmon will be there to read a holiday classic, and of course there’ll be enough of DeWees’ stand-up style comedy to fill the stockings of the Bradys, the Waltons, and anyone else who’s been good all year. DeWees will bring his show to the Lebanon Opera House Nov, 5, 6, 12, 13, and 14. All shows will be at 8 p.m., except for the Nov. 14 show, which will start at 7 p.m. Tickets for this show may be purchased by calling 603-448-0400 or on the web at www.lebanon operahouse.org ____________ |
