Rochester Chamber Music Society Announces 2005 Summer Concerts The Rochester Chamber Music Society has announced its schedule of concerts for the summer 2005 season. •Saturday, July 9: The seventh annual "Bach Bash," a full day of Bach’s orchestral music for professional and advanced amateur string players, conducted by Larry Hamberlin, with an informal free public concert in the evening at the Hancock Town Hall on Rte. 100 in Hancock. The "bash" itself will take place from 1-5 p.m., with the concert at 7 p.m. •Sunday, July 10: Kick-off concert for the Green Mountain Suzuki Institute week, with Vanessa Holroyd, flute; Robert Penny, cello; and Cynthia Huard, piano; 4 p.m., Rochester Federated Church, with a pre-concert talk by Larry Hamberlin at 3:30 p.m. •Friday, July 15: Green Mountain Suzuki Institute student chamber concert, featuring RCMS-commissioned work by Vermont composer Erik Nielsen, 4 p.m., Rochester High School Auditorium. •Sunday, July 31: Piano trio concert in memory of Marguerite Schenkman, featuring Katherine Winterstein, violin; Linda Galvan, cello; and Cynthia Huard, piano; 4 p.m., Rochester Federated Church, with a pre-concert talk by Larry Hamberlin at 3:30 p.m. •Sunday, Aug. 14: The Brentano String Quartet, 4 p.m., Rochester Federated Church, with a pre-concert talk by Larry Hamberlin at 3:30 p.m. •Sunday, Aug. 21: Harpist Dan Levitan and friends, 4 p.m., Rochester Federated Church, pre-concert talk by Larry Hamberlin at 3:30 p.m. •Sunday, Sept. 25: A program of classical and popular American songs, featuring Beth Thompson Kaiser, soprano; and Cynthia Huard, piano; with commentary by Larry Hamberlin, 4 p.m., Rochester Federated Church. No pre-concert talk. There is no set admission charge for the concerts, but donations are always gratefully accepted.
